Chip
Doyle began his sales career with Raychem after designing electrical
products for General Motors. He learned the art of selling and eventually
became the groups top sales person. Doyle also leveraged his
sales skills with distributors and reps to achieve 40-50% annual
sales gains. After being promoted to North American Sales Manager
and achieving record sales revenue and profits, he relocated to
Raychems headquarters in Menlo Park CA, leading sales and
marketing for a new global venture in acoustics. Later, Doyle utilized
his negotiating and financial skills in Mergers and Strategic Alliances.
Selling
to multinational companies requires a global approach and Chip Doyles
12 years of corporate sales experience included sales calls in Korea,
Japan, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Mexico, and other
countries. He obtained his BSEE from the University of Texas on
a GM scholarship and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Doyle is also a partner in a portal site for acoustics at NVHmaterials.com
and consults on marketing websites.
Today,
Doyle owns a Sandler Sales Institute and works with individuals
and corporations in technical/professional markets who are sick
and tired of the stale lines and artificial closes taught by traditional
trainers and heard millions of times by purchasers throughout North
America.
Doyle
also works with owners and sales executives on issues that affect
turnover in their sales force. "The vast majority of hiring
'mistakes' can be identified before the sales candidate starts interviewing."
The
Sandler Selling System utilizes techniques and innovative methods
that allow the salesperson to take charge of the selling situation.
Doyle also develops and manages customized corporate training programs,
all based on the principles and processes of the Sandler Sales System.
"Sales management is more than just motivating your people,
it's identifying the performers and then providing them with the
right skills and attitudes to deal profitably with customers."
"I've
worked with hundreds of companies throughout my sales career. Each
one deserves an original approach." His high energy and direct
style have made him a welcome speaker at organization and trade
association events. Doyle serves on the board of the Professional
Coaches and Mentors Association and is a member of various chambers
of commerce in the East Bay.
